arts a tart 22

A FREE TO ENTER JUNE 2019 WRITING COMPETITION OPEN TO ALL TCWG GROUP MEMBERS. Newcomers are welcome, and to apply for membership please contact our Facebook Blog on this link …

The topic (some might call it a ‘challenge’) for June 2019 has been set by Seadams and will be (dramatic roll on the drums) … ‘ART’S A TART!’
At first sight this topic  might mean anything or nothing to you all (which was my first reaction), but if you think about it, as I did, and allow your imagination free rein … you may be surprised at what you come up with.
Best of luck!

The length of entries in JUNE will bebetween 250 and 750 words” and competitors are reminded that multiple entries can be accepted, particularly of the shorter variety.

The closing date for entries will be at Midnight on Sunday the 30th. of June 2019.
The period for receiving votes will be announced on or around the 29th. of June, and votes will not be accepted until after the competition officially closes.

The “prize” for winning this June competition will be to set the topic for August 2019 (by which time it will be only ninety odd shopping days to Christmas 🙂 ).
Voting. After the competition closes there will be a vote to decide the first three places and just after the closing date, details of how to vote, and a vote collection point will be set up here in this competition section.

How to enter. Post your story on your personal WordPress blogs and post a link to your story in the form of a comment below (“Leave a reply” panel.)
For those unfamiliar with the workings of the monthly competition a list of detailed rules for the competition can be found here …

Pleasant writing everyone, and good luck.

  1. The elephant went into labour and produced a lemon, or so it seems in my case.
‘Art’s a Tart’ may well have launched a thousand quips, but all I encountered in June was an iceberg block of gigantic proportions and my offering is far from being an event of titanic proportions.
Nevertheless, it is within the word limit and mostly in English, so make of it what you will.

      1. Hello Bleda…thank you for your answer. Yes, it was very kind of Araminta to help me in making the correct link to transfer my story from WordPress to the TCWG site. I appreciate her help very much, and I did see the link there last night.. There must be something wrong with my computer for me not to see the link there today. As you know, I’m a complete dunce when it comes to posting, links, etcetera. I’ve had troubles with those things before in the monthly contests.
Looking forward to reading this month’s entries, that’s one of my life’s pleasures! 😊
